I can't believe it's been over 20 years since I've been to the Washington Park Velodrome. A good friend was going down with his boys for the "run what you brung" night, and invited me down. I brought my camera and glad I went!

It was the first day on the track (any track) for them, so they got in lots of
practice laps before racing:

OH OH! There's commotion in the pits just as a race is about to start.

One of the racers has a soft front tire :eek:

A quick pit stop is required.



RUN! You can see the rider waiting for her bike, on the left.



It was worth all the effort ... she won by half a bike length!



All this racing can wear a girl out.

The racing went pretty well, but I think we need to work on starting. :rolleyes:



The racing is done, it's time to go home, but there's ALWAYS time for
one more track stand! :p



So, it was a good time. I certainly plan on heading back soon and I hope you enjoyed
the pics. :)
