Does anyone know where there is a good place to get a real bike fit done near raleigh? I don't want to walk into a store and the guy pull down a trek 1000 and say hey it fits you because you can stand over it. A real fit kit. Thanks...

I don't have any personal experience with them, but I've heard the "Spin Cycle" will do a full fit for a fee. It's by appointment only and can take up to a couple of hours.
You need to go wherever they have the bike you want to buy. Have you picked a bike out?
The best fit guy in the area is Charlie Storm at Storm Endurance in Sanford. He's fit quite a a few people that post here and even more that post over on TriangleCycling.Com but he may not carry the bike you want.

The Spin Cycle in Cary. They've got 3 Serotta certified fit specialists, including Kevin, the owner. I've known Kevin for a long time. Even though I hadn't bought my bike from him, he taught me to spin when I first got serious about riding quite a few years ago. He puts lots of time and money back into the local cycling community.
