Im thinking about swapping out the adjustable stem for a fixed one but I was wondering if thats possible. I have an ocr1. Will I need to buy something other than a stem? If so, wheres it go and how do I put it on? thanks
Yes, you can swap out an OCR 1 stem. I had an 2001 model OCR 1 and changed the stem, no problem. A plain 'ol one-inch quill stem is what you need. Salsa makes a couple nice quill stems--one model has a removable face plate like typical ahead set stems.

This is a good idea once you are sure of length and angle. You will drop over half a pound off the bike.
