I can't get it to fit? Is there a trick? Maybe I need one of those kits?
If you've got a Tara on your LHT, can you post a pic, or explain any secret you used to get it to fit?

The problem seems to be that the fork is too thick and gets in the way (if that makes any sense). I tried changing which holes I was lining up, and still couldn't find one that worked. :(

I noticed that, where the big lug at the end of the fork seems to require anything running down the fork from above must end up a half-inch or so outboard of the eyelets at the dropouts. Maybe need some kind of bracket to bridge the gap? There are a lot of options here (http://www.thetouringstore.com/TUBUS/Fit%20Solutions/FIT%20SOLUTIONS%20PAGE.htm), although none (that I can see) for that specific issue.

Sorry I don't have a camera handy.

There are two braze-ons (BO's) at the tip of each side of the front forks near the axle. The Tara rack mounts on the rearmost of these BO's. The lower strut of the Tara slants rearward behind the axle and then is lower arc sweeps forward below the axle.

The upper horizontal bar fastens to tapped screw holes on the outside of the fork near the mid point.

I used the provided cylindrical spacers between the rack and the bike on all four of the connecting points.

If you have fenders, the fender struts then mount to a tab on the Tara near the axle. The front BO's are unused (on my LHT).

Hope this helps.

Thank You! I bought the rack used, and maybe the spacers weren't included (I'll have to look through everything that came with it). From my problems, that is EXACTLY what I need. I'll see if I can rustle up a set one way or another :)
