What's going to happen using a DA nine speed double crank and ten speed everything else? Ten speed chain, derailleur, brifter, rear cogs etc. ?

Crank doesn't care if it's 9 or 10 speed. Cassette and brifters have to match, everything else can be interchanged.

This usually works fine with a double crankset.
