Fifty Plus (50+) - How many miles did you ride for July?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I did 458 miles for the month of July. Not quite the number I expected since I was shooting for 150+ a week ride. I was just curious as to mileage the 50+ group log each month if they keep a goal of covering and recording their mileage per week or month. It would be interesting to see how we 50+ manage to maintain certain level of rides each month.

I logged 656 miles or 1055 kilometers (which sounds much more impressive).

1002 miles. Won't do that again for a while.
Somewhere around 350, I don't write it down, but I average about 90 a week. That seems about right for me, keeps me pretty happy!

I used to keep a log so I'd know what training worked, what miles I rode, etc. After about 6 mos. I just got too busy to keep track.
Because I divide my riding between the tandem (with a Garmin, no cumulative record) and my solo (with saved miles info) and I know I did just over 100/week in July, I guesstimate that I rode in excess of 600 miles for the month. Last week we did 187 miles.
Now I need a nap. And a more precise way to keep track of mileage.

Haven't tracked my milesin over a decade, but the month included 2 centuries and 2 metric centuries and most week days I do two 1 hour rides, about 800 miles for the month.
Distance: 562 miles

Not enough and too many.
I am not keeping track, exactly, but have been averaging about 150 miles per week, which would be about 600 miles or so.

398 in 19 rides. Last July was 351 which included my first century so this year was a little better overall and in number of rides.

Well I'll mention my July miles to establish the low bar: 277.1 Not expecting much more for August. My body fails to move in heat and humidity.
Only about 150, but I was only home for 1 week since July 9 - I travel for business a lot.

Don't know, but not as much as I would like to have ridden. Working long hours lately and some of the days I had planned to ride it started thunderstorming as I left work. Concentrating on preparing for MTB races has really cut out a lot of my long rides too. My last race is this coming Sunday. After that I plan to get back to doing more longer rides.

Just under 400. First time I did more than 300 in one month. Usually average about 280. August will be at least 400.

I respectfully decline to answer the question on the grounds it would embarrass me. :D
539, did I say it's hot down here.
490 miles and too many hills to think about.
Getting fitter all the time.
Another century with 10.000ft climbing to look forward to this Sunday.
Time to hit the road for a few months again soon I feel.

141 miles and proud of it. Just got my Suede W in May. Worked my way up from pedaling at 8-9 mph to 10-11 mph through gentle hill country. Hadn't been riding since the 80's (a lot) & 90's (once in a while).
Rode about 630 in three weeks and then haven't ridden since, been working to many hours and too tired to get back on the bike when I get home.

741 on a trike. I agree that logging is a major pain, so make that 741 plus/minus ten percent.

350 km, you do the math. Retired, no excuses, a little short of my goal of 400 km /mo. I figure I do more than 99% of my neighbours, it only looks puny amongst this group of fanatics. Lets start a 60+ group and weed out these young turks.

No, a 65+ group, and weed out those rogue 60-64 types!

Just over 500 miles.
I never ever keep track.
Took a bunch of days off for a concussion though.
At the end of July I have approximately 2065 miles for the year. I look at too many spread sheets at work to get that technical on my riding. The reason it is approximate is that I have some on my mountain bike and it doesn't have an odometer.

I rode 826 miles. That's the most miles I've ridden in a month, so far.
Impressive result folks. It just show that the 50+ group are meticulous and serious about their cycling. For those who didn't think they log that many miles, don't be rough on yourself. There are more important things in life than just being on the saddle. Congratulations and kudos to everyone. Now let's see what August will bring us.

Do not have an exact mileage. Every week was over 100 miles, most over 150 miles. Total would be close to 600 miles, plus or minus.

I rode 381 miles in July. I was pretty proud of that mileage until I saw some of the other totals; now I feel like a slacker:(.
