Anyone know a shop in OC that has/sells the Giro helmet pod? I just got a new helmet and would like a nice way to store it in my closet when im not using it....

I've got extras. From what I understand is that they are no longer sold. They were originally sold with the Atmos and the new Atmos no longer comes with them. Apparently people weren't using them. I think they are great for protecting your helmet. I can't say I use mine every day, but I use it for sure when I travel. I'll sell you one for $30. I'm in San Dimas, we can figure out shipping or pick up.

Yeah I just got an Atmos too and looking at a new Xen as well for MTB'ing.... and id like better protection than my current helmet gets!! :)

Well I just got my Atmos like 3 days ago so its a little late for me!!! thanks though... Is the Ionios a step up from the Atmos??? Seemed like it on the site

The Ionios will be the top of the line helmet for next year. I've been told the pod won't come with those either, but my source has been wrong before. A couple of years ago, they sold the pod with the Atmos and it sold for about $40-$50 more than the Pneumo. I think it was an incentive for people who had bought the Pneumo to upgrade (better helmet and a pod.) If they are included with the Ionios, I will have another one for sale when I get an Ionios next year.

this seems like a total waste of money.

I had to google helmet pod ... I had no idea what it is. So it's just a carrying case for your helmet.

I put mine on top of my shoes, in a trader joes paperbag, then set the gloves and
glasses in the helmet.

Just grab and go, and low cost too!

I see some on on their steeds, and others are newbie poseurs.

Went on a ride today with 3 others. one was fairly new and did a face plant, no injury,
sucked it up and kept going. and then when we were heading back to the cars he disappears. Took us 45minutes to
find him. Made a wrong turn and headed for the beach. He must have put in another 5+ miles of
decending and climbing back out. I/we should have been doing sweep....

Good ride, I think we must have done 15+, with quite a bit of climbing and downhill :D
