Hi,
I have a bottle of Primus. It is 1 liter.
Its diameter is 3 1/8 inch or 8 centimeters.
Its hight is 10 inch or 25.4 cm.
I tried to search for a bottle cage for it and didn't found.
Please tell me how you mount your fuel bottle on your rig.

I have a pocket in the back of the rear panniers that is the perfect size for my fuel bottle. Been carrying it there with no problems since I started touring. I had Never thought about putting it in a cage though.

yep. me too. do you have arkels? anyways, do you have threads and screws for a third water-bottle cage? that could be the solution...just bring the bottle into your lbs to find a cage that holds the fuel bottle securely.

REI sells a cage made by Cannondale that can work. Here is a photo of it with a large diameter water bottle.

The side clamps are those that put pressure on the bottle?
I just roll my own. I don't carry fuel on bike trips, global warming and all that (as if). But I made a wire cage for my oil bottle. I can certainly see the point of keeping the nasties on the outside. Like oil on the outside while my pump is in my paniers, rather than the reverse.
You just need to find somethign a little smaller than the bottle to bend the major arc around. After that the bends are mostly tight and can be done with a vise.

Can you post a picture of this setup?
Tnx

Hi,
I bought a Sigg bottle cage for 5 Euros. It is made from plastic. I'm not sure it will hold, but I will update after the trip.
The bottle fit quit well, but it is very close to the mudguard.
I will solve it maybe with an added strap.
Regards,
Kfir

Look in Walmart. Bell makes a holder with a rubber strap to hold just about any bottle in place
