Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Special intro post for this forum!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I posted something in the introductions place, but I felt I should also post a special intro here to say
Hi my name is Brian and I am a fat!

Anyway, I live in Brooklyn, and I hate the subway, and I would like to become an elite athlete or just look like one.

My worst weight was about 300 in 2003, but I got better (from just eating better) and have plateaued at about 230 without any kind of regular exercise regimen. Just random active things like walking around I guess.

I swim now, and I ride my bike, and I'm hoping that between those two activities I can knock out another 30 lbs this year.

Welcome to Clyde's, Brian! We'll be glad to help with motivation and general friendship, and of course a lot of fun!:D

Welcome, Brian! You've already made great progress, and I'm sure that between continuing to eat right, biking, and swimming, you'll create the "elite athlete" body you want. :) I've only been on this forum for a couple months, but everyone is incredibly supportive - I hope you'll like it here as much as I do.

Welcome, Brian. It doesn't sound like you'll be around here very long ;)
