F....U...Yes I am the only guy in the world who thought Tiger was short.
Wiswell....Yes I am 5'8". I ride the smallest frame I can usually. Currently riding a Giant size "S". I could get away with a size "M", but "S" is just fine.
I've been insanely busy. I will be there. I have not really ridden in like a month. I will still ride the century, but I will be riding at a fairly slow clip I imagine. We will meet up and roll out.
Maybe I can write more later....
...on a lighter note I drunk texted Chipcom, CyLowe, and aham the other night....only aham's didn't go through. Chipcom responded. :D

Yeah, that was hilarious. Psimet's probably as tall as Ickey Woods, though.

He's in SE Asia adopting more kids.
Oh, wait, that's Angelina Jolie. So easy to get them confused...

This IS kinda the thing to do, isn't it?
Heck, I may do more than 49....supposed to be sunny and 80, something we haven't seen around here in a while.

It's free to make fun of you in public on the forum.
It's 10 cents to return a text that no one will laugh at.
You do the math.
New to road cycling, although I have a couple thousand miles on my mountain bike this year. Considering the century tomorrow, it would be my first. I'm confident I will be able to finish the ride, but I'm unsure about how much food and water to bring. Is anyone heading up tomorrow from the NW suburbs of Chicago? Maybe catch a ride together and get some advice.

There are rest stops stocked with food, water, gatorade, every 20 miles or so (give or take a few miles), so I usually bring a couple of gels and start off with full bottles. There's no need to weigh down your pockets on a ride that's organized properly. This one is a well done with nurishment.

It looks like I might be able to go too. I plan to do 62-miler with late start between 8.30 and 9 am.
Question for those who drove there last year - what is the fastest way to get there from west suburbs on Sunday morning? Using 59 / 12 / 83 going straight north or go east , take I-94 and back west to Waterford?
Route 12 goes through Fox Lake - anybody knows if it is flooded / open / close? I did quick 25 miler today starting on Poplar Creek trail , but it was so much water in flooded spots , that I moved to roads.

I use the 83 route . I myself am coming in the 36 route . Look for a tall dork in a crankin stein jersey
or a Statue of liberty jersey. I will have Dynodan name tag on the bike or jersey to indentify
myself from the forums say a friendly hello. I will be doing the century first one for me . I not sure
of every ones face other than Psmite since his avatar advertises it lol so thats why I figure to
put a name tag on my self easier to indentify me.

See everyone in the morning. We're rolling out of here at 5:30. With all of the flooding in the area we may run into an issue or two getting up there. As mentioned we are shooting for a 7:00 rollout. Neither CyLowe or myself is in very good form right now.
All that being said I'd like to meet up with people at the start if possible. Most of you know what I look like. For those that don't I will basically be wearing this exact kit....minus the helmet....the one in this shot is cracked in 3 and sitting at Giro...

I apologize for not really rallying people up for this one, but it's on enemy territory (behind the "cheese curtain"), and I have been amazingly busy with work, flooding, family, hitting a dog with my bike, etc...

Standard line for every ride.... Then blistering pace to set the tone for the first 20 miles!

I rode all the way out to the La Grange rest stop in the hopes of surprising you guys today.
There from 1:15 - 1:30....alas, none of you to be found. Oh well, I took a shot anyway.
There an entire thread on my long adventure of a birthday ride over in the road cycling section of BF.
Hope all went well.
I look forward to reading some reports here.
Couldn't beat the weather, huh!

Ride report and some pics later on. The LaGrange stop is at mile 65. We were long gone by 1:15. Actually, I think we were leaving the East Troy stop by that time.
Would have been nice to wish you a happy birthday in person. Hope it was a good one.

Oh well...the idea of a chance, surprise visit came to me early in my ride and provided the inspiration for my challenge today...so thanks for that.
You speedsters and your centuries....man....outta my league.
So, those were stragglers I was seeing then?
Heck, they still had lots of cookies!

What a great day it was... Perfect gift after week of rain. I finished 62 miles by 1 pm and thought that I should have done a century. This was my first organized ride and I am defenitely coming back next year. So much fun compare to solo ride. If only I do not need to wake up that early. :) And how about that hill at 42 miles?
