It's either this or the bike psychos. I did this one last year. Nice terrain. Beautiful roads. I think I might be back. I would drive up in the morning like I did last year. Waterford isn't too aweful far away.
I am considering this one as well.

Good luck men.
And have a cookie toast to me at a rest stop....that's my birthday!
I shall not be spending it six hours in the saddle however.

That's my birthday too! I'd like nothing more than to do another century on my birthday, but I think the little monkeys are planning something for me so I don't know if I'll make it or not.
I would like to do this one too, do they publish the route?

Don't know, but I still have the cue sheet from last year. I thought I routeslipped it, but just checked and I didn't. If I have time I will convert to a routeslip gps file so that you can pull it up online.

it would take atleast 30 miles for my giant guads to warm up to the droping of psimet level! :D
seriously, i am bummed. no one wants to ride the Psychos with me. i cant do this ride as it would take up to much travel time for me. that saturday is my little girls birthday party so we likely will have house guest. they let me sneak out last for for the Psychos, but that ride is only 30 to 45 minutes from my house.
i miss my fellow BFNIC buddies :( .

So...you racing? Sounds like a tough field: "Masters 30+,40+ Cat 4/5" Might as well say, "any man of riding age with a bicycle..."

I might be up for doing either the 70 or 100 mile route of Bike Pyscho's---I wanted to do this ride last year, but I think that was the weekend I was fighting some kind of wicked cold. Let me know.

I believe the phrase I used was "watching the races", not "watching everyone race by me." I will be spectating the whole day. I have never even seen a race yet alone been in one. I cannot wait.

I have convinced Mr. Wiswell to participate. He will sticking with the metric (his first), while I do the imperial, and I am sure he can finish it now that he has upgraded from a flat bar road bike to a Felt Z70.

I am in for the full 100. I will be driving down the day of.
I have ridden this one the past three years. It is a great ride, I seem to remember one bad road on the way back into town, but only for a couple of miles.

Anyone know or recall how much of the metric overlapped the imperial? I e-mailed the ride organizer and got no response. Mr. Wiswell and I would like to know how long we can ride together before we suffer apart.

The cue sheet from last year reads the following at mile 31.2 "ROUTE SPLIT - 62 mi route R on Hwy 11"
while the 100 route goes L on Highway 11.
So assuming they haven't revised the route it looks like 31.2 miles, or roughly half of the metric's ride. The routes come back together again at mile 82.3. Maybe Mr. Wiswell wants to wait around for us there...;)

Depending how I feel that morning maybe I will do the 62 ,with Mr wiswell. I like to
do the century , but I listen to my body see how it feels for a century :0.
I will see if one of my coworkers is intrested in doing a 62 run, he started riding a while back and is training for a race in devil lake area so maybe he be intrested.

how did i miss all this fun??
i could find a couple little rollers along the fox river for you. seriously, i have a nice route over in that yorkville, oswego, plano, sandwich area. plus, the road back to the start area is a lovely piece of perfectly flat asphalt running about 10 miles. with some wind out of the west it would be just like RAIN.......FAST!

I know. I actually do close to 2,000 ( - say it ain't so!) feet of climbing on my commute just because I go in and out of the Fox River Valley.
I've been off my bike because of the accident and the illness in front of that. Running isn't doing it for me anymore. I need some fast flat mileage.
....and a wheel to latch on to...;)
^^^^ i have been on the bike twice this month. i have not been sick or injured. WTF?
while i thought my riding would be scaled back a bit due to this marathon thing i had no idea that family and work would be keeping me so busy.
finally, if you can catch me you are always welcome to my wheel.

Planning on being there. Maybe a 7 am start or so?
I've been in a real riding funk for the last few weeks, so this ride may be at a pretty leisurely pace.
I'll either have on my standard New Belgium / Fat Tire jersey, or if I want to blend in I'll have on the white/black/red 2007 HHH jersey. Riding a blue Felt.

Works for me. Do I get to be an honorary BFNIC member? I wasn't born in WI so I have a greater tolerance for you FIB'ers. You guys will probably be too fast for me in the long run...
I'll look for you all. I've seen enough of your HHH pictures that I can probably spot some of you. I've got a blue Specialized with blue/black tires and will be wearing a blue shirt (about a generic a look as you can get).
P.S. Is PSIMET, er, vertically challenged? His bike doesn't look much bigger than mine.

So I'm thinking 5'8-5'9? That's not so short.
I guess I should pick up some Capital Brewery beer directly from the brewery as an apology...
