General Cycling Discussion - Canadian Bike in TDF (SPOILER)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

If I remember correct CSC used LOOK bikes last year. Tyler rode some bike (not a LOOK) that was specially made for him in 2002. Due to contractual and sponsership legalities Tyler's bike was made to look, like a LOOK bike.
Is this the case again this year. Is that bike indeed an Cervelo, or is it another bike in disguise...

poululla,I firmly believe that it is a Cervelo bike.
last year Tyler rode Calfee frames and Cervelo TT frames.
This year it is all Cervelo. THe one he is riding is a upcoming Cervelo model- not yet available to the public.

The team is officially on Cervelo, also, since some riders are using the Columbus Foco frame made by that company they're one of the few teams with any riders on steel. Although the company is Canadian, some of the aluminum frames are made about 100 miles down the road from me in Portland by Anodizing Inc.

The bike is Cervelo. They did an interview with the guy on the nightly news here in Toronto, and showed the bikes in TdF.

Apparently he also reinjured himself in stage 15 when he went to grab for a water bottle from a parked motorcycle and misjudged how deeply situated the bottles were in their carriers. He used the arm on his bad shoulder and when the bottle didn't come out readily (he wasn't even able to retrieve the bottle), he also did some more damage to his healing shoulder. Although there's plenty of stories and drama to go around during this TdF, Tyler is my biggest hero in this Tour.

The title of this thread has been changed so it doesn't make people grumpy about containing TDF results.:D

Well in the past we have had "the Badger", The Cannibal,
Didi, Jaja, PouPou and many others. I think its about time
for "Crash"
Marty
In case nobody noticed (or cares): Piil and Saestre allready won stages for CSC on their Cervélo bikes prior to Hamilton.
BTW, look at photos from Hamiltons 2002 CSC team bike and you'll see that it was the normal team issue Look KG381

Tyler's from Marblehead. He's hard as rock and doesn't crack when he falls. Why not "Marblehead" Hamilton?
