about how much does it cost to have a fork rebuilt. the fork has a lot of slop in the bearings, also the adjustments on the top don't work any more. If i could have the spring changed that would be good to, i weigh in at 193 and the fork was perfect when i weighed less than 160, now i can bottom it on a two foot drop or about 80% just by pushing down with all my weight.

It's not going to worth it to be rebuilt. I would be surprised if it could actually. I search for a new 06/07 on discount that meets your needs.

Frok reminds me of a Redd Foxx routine that also involved corksoakers. But I will change it.

You can pull this fork apart and clean and relube the bushings. You might even be able to get springs for it. But, your money would be better spent on a new fork.

alright thanks. this is for a backup bike, so i am not willing to spend to much money, i might even put a 29er rigid fork on it that will bring the front end up to the height of a 130mm fork.
