Hi,
I'm stuck between these two bikes. I found the conquest for like $400 ($300 if i pick up tomorrow!) and may win a bid on a poprad for $550. The Conquest is yellow so I don't know what year it is and the Poprad is a 2006. I have been infatuated with the Poprad so I need an outside perspective for a judgment call (of course it's ultimately my decision). But I value your opinions and benefit from your input. Which is the better bike overall? Pros and cons for both? Please help, I need to make a quick decision and really appreciate all of your perspectives. I've learned more about bikes in the past three days on this forum than I have elsewhere at anytime (to be fair I never did much research before here). But still! Thanks for the help!

I've got a Conquest and it rocks and $300 is a great price for one. The Poprad's steel and it's a cool bike. Tough call but I don't think you'll regret either unless you can't get the Lemond at your price. I'm guessing the Redline's local so you'll know more about it.

You can't go wrong with a steel bike like the Poprad. Aluminium is always a worry unless you buy the bike new and know the history of the bike. If you buy the Poprad spray the inside of the tubes with Frame Saver and the Bike will last forever. In time Aluminum fatigues.
