Mountain Biking - Sweeet! New Camera!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I woke up this morning and had a flight lesson. Finished that, but I was real tired. I went to sleep for about 2 hours. When I woke up, on my desk sits a new Nikon D50 Camera. I'd seen it in stores and have wanted one for awhile, but never expected it. I asked my parents about it and they said that it was mine for taking pictures when I go to Europe, but they said I could also use it for mountain biking photos. I can't wait to test it out.

Yay. I found an old video camera with a picture function on it. It takes horrible pics, but the d50 cant take pics of its self.

Cool! I just bought a Olympus Stylus Epic for when I don't want to bring 15lb of camera gear!
Get a 50mm lens on it!

Nice. I need to get a new camera eventually.
Great camera. We have the same one and luv it.
If you can find the Intro training video for the d50 made by Blue Crane digital buy it.
It walks you everything and really helped me understand the camera.(It is kind of boring though)

Once you go DSLR, you can never go back to a crappy P&S piece of garbage.

Hey! I have a SLR, and I got a P&S for portability. Granted, its not a zoom, and it does have a great lens.
I use it as the camera for when I go with friends, biking, oor anything where I don't want to luug 15Lb of gear around

Is your SLR made out of lead or something?
Nope!
SLR, 3 Lenses, flash, P&S camera, Spotmeter, 20 rolls of film, and papers, business cards, ect.
Also, this camera and all the stuff I have is from the 70's. everything is made of metal, no plastic.
Nice!
I got a D70 and love it, ive taken some awesome pictures on it.
