After hearing about the I-35 bridge collapse in Minneapolis I was like everyone else,..horrifed!!
It also conjured up some bad memories of our own bridge collapse down here in sunny Florida. It was May 9, 1980 when our own Sunshine Skyway Bridge, which is the worlds longest bridge, and that links Palmetto to St. Petersburgh, was hit by a damn ship. I remember when that happened. It was almost surreal, and right here in my own state. I live about 35 miles from it.

We've had a few collapse here in SoCal, too.

Side note: I was in San Antionio TX recently. The bridge piers there are pretty small compared to the ones in CA.

We make-em to take some shakin' here.
