I think I might have a problem with my feet. I have a variety of symptoms. Shin, heel I've noticed that when I run/walk the inside of my heel hits the ground first and then I rotate inwards even more through the gait. Only the inner 1/4 of my foot ever touches the ground. My shoes wear quickly at the inner heel and also at the outer heal from rubbing on the fabric.

Cycling I'm usually ok for about the first 50 miles but then my big toe starts to swell until it gets rather painful. This always happens and it doesn't matter what shoes / size / tightness I'm using.

What could this be? Thanks for your help?

The running part sounds like you need some orthotics to stable your feet that is a good place to start. On the bike position, shims to correct your q angle possible. So go see a sports doc get fitted for a pair of orthotic and have someone fit you to your bike.

check out this article I did for pezcycling news on hot foot it may help.

Yeah, Thanks... I've been meaning to make an appointment with a podiatrist. It sounds like I have problems with over-pronation but flat foot doesn't quite fit either. I did git fitted for my bike and it was determined that I don't need shims. I'm thinking that it might just be swelling (I just don't know why). I don't think it's hotfoot.
