Hi all,

I've been using an Edge 305 for a couple months now and am enjoying the new data I get from it. The software is kind of crap especially since I can't modify data to fix errors.

Anyway, one of the gross errors is that my computer has added the last few rides as extra laps in the activity entry from almost a month ago. It used to automatically create a new activity entry when I powered up, but for the last 5, it's just stuck the ride in as an extra lap. All I had to do was just power on and press start/stop. This gets really confusing because the route details are all overlaid on top of each other, and the dates are all wrong (the individual laps have correct dates, but they're in an activity entry dated a month ago!).

Anyone know how to get the machine to start a new activity when I start a ride on a different day?

Thanks,

-Chris

You need to reset the timer when you start a new activity - hold down the lap button for a few seconds until it gives you the reset countdown.

Alphamoose is correct. If you dont reset the Edge thinks it's part of the same activity. I believe I read that downloading activities to Training Center or Motion Based automatically resets the Edge, but I'm not sure. I always manually Restset.

Downloading to Training Center does reset it automatically.

Thanks! That's the info I needed. I had been downloading before every new activity and it would auto-reset.
