I have a cannondale f6 pretty much locked with my LBS for a really good price 499.00. The problem is that I have never had a chance to ride this bike. They are ordering it out of Florida. The FAQ says for nubs not to buy stuff online and this is basically the same thing since I'm not getting hands on with it until it gets here.

However, I have ridden high end cannondales and really enjoyed them and all the reviews I've read on the f5's seem very positive while the competition in the price range(trek 4500, gary fischer wahoo) seem to get mixed reviews.

Do you guys think I should go for it or just buy something that I can get my hands on?

is there no other lbs that has the same bike model to try out?

Ask if the sale can be conditional on how the bike fit's, Our shop ordered my wifes WSD epic on those terms.

No. Not unless I drive 30 miles to the city.

I actually went ahead and checked out the bike store though. I rode a cannondale f4. It's 900 but it's insanely good. I think Im going to spend the extra money and get it instead.
