my rim brakes are rubbing my wheels because they are a little bent.

just wondering how I can straighten up the wheels so my crappy rim brakes dont rub...

Your wheels PROBABLY are not bent...they're probably out of true. Take the wheel to your LBS and tell them whats wrong.

You don't have to use rim brakes - good news kids; there are enough drum brakes for everyone!

Get a spoke/nipple wrench and follow Sheldon Brown's directions. Saves you some money down to line to know how to fix 'em yourself.

It's possible to create wheels that are super-straight, super-strong and impervious to all forms of loading and damage. Gues what? They're gonna weigh 40-lbs apiece!!! Try avoiding big bumps and potholes when you ride. Prevents lots of flats too. ;)

I was avoiding big bumps and potholes...

was riding on the side of the road and someone nearly plowed into me not watching where they were going, trying not to get run over, my handlebar got caught in a chain link fence and my rim ended up getting bent...
