Introductions - Hybrid/Commuting bike recommendation

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am a very tall guy at 6'10". I was wondering if one bike mfg. made XL frames (26" or >) for a hybrid/commuter bike. I don't need an ultra expensive bike but am willing to pay for a lighter bike since I'll be getting the bike on/off a train to commute.

Which mfg makes the largest/lightest frames for a good means of transportation.

Thanks
Ray

Welcome, Ray. You might try asking this in the Clydesdale forum. Most guys over a certain height are also over 200 lbs, so they often hang out in that forum around here.

Hello Ray, you are quite tall! There's some really big frame bikes out there--Mr. East Hill has a Trek 4300 MTB which comes in some really big frames, and is not over the top expensive.

The Clydesdales/Athenas forum has a sticky for Clyde recommendations...

Welcome to BF!
