Bicycle Mechanics - Rim spoke eyelet cracks

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Yup. And the nipple has been rounded off because someone over tightened it. Keep the hub, trash the rest.

Those spokes must have been waaaay too tight at some point in time. And yes, the rims are trash now.
Too bad...it's mate is perfect. Suntour Superbe small flange and Araya 700c rims. But for what I paid, the hubs by themselves were a steal. Thanks all for confirming my thoughts.
