I use LBK for longer training rides. I prefer out and back rides b/c it only requires the willpower to make it half the distance, then I have not choice to ride the rest to get home. I am now reaching the south end of LBK and needing to get more distance. After I cross Ringling Bridge is where can I ride with relative safety in Sarasota? Are there bike lanes in that area?

I don't know your point of origin, Brusheda. But I once knew Tampa fairly well, and stayed in LBK (very beautiful) area only once. I'd think to Ringling to Gulfstream to Main to Orange or Osprey?
Maybe you should make some field trips in your car, with a navigator on board.... ;)
depending on where you start from, you could migrate north towards bradenton beach, or maybe even use the sarasota heights backroads to head down to siesta key
