I live in Clackamas, OR very close to Sunnyside, OR.
Does anybody have any favorite rides from this location? I am just getting back into road cycling and I would prefer a 15-20 mile ride.
Thanks!

I live in Milwaukie, just off the 205. I have three fun rides I do sometimes:
1. I like going out the Springwater to the end and then up to Troutdale and then back down the Columbia to the 205 and home. It's about a 35 mile loop. The problem is, for the next couple of years a lot of the 205 will be closed while they complete the Light Rail Project. I am, therefore going to find a new route for the last leg of that trip. If you have any ideas let me know.
2. There is also the Pete's Mountain loop which is a lot of fun, but kind of grueling at times. I think it's about 25 miles or so.
3. Or the Clackamas River loop goes out to Carver and down the south side of the river, cross back over the river at Oregon City and then up the Gladstone side, hit the 205 bike path and home again. That one's only 18 miles or so and pretty flat. It's a lot of fun, too.
I hope this helps.

You can return Via Firwood to Hwy 26 or WildCat back Via 224 or just backtrak.
Care must be taken on the descent and the climb on Hwy 211 from Trickle Creek to Howlett Rd. There is no shoulder and the climb is steep, but short.
