For Sale - Ellsworth Truth frame - Large 2005

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I've decided that I need to do a little cleaning around the house and try to get rid of some of the things that I'm not using any more. Unfortunately the Truth is one of those things. I haven't ridden this bike in over a year so I think it's time I gave someone else the opportunity to give it a nice home.
It is a large 2005 model, annodized black. It has the Fox Float R that was tuned for the Ellsworth Truth. The frame does have some scratches and rub marks, after all, it's a mountain bike. None of the scratches affect the performance though. I have posted pictures showing the scratches the best that I can. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I am asking $800 for the frame plus $25 for insured shipping. For payments I prefer paypal.
Ebayed.

If you'd posted more often in the Mountain Biking forum we would have seen this. I just forwarded this link to Junkyard as he's been thinking of a FS frame. I do have a Turner Flux for him but he may be tempted by the price of this one.
Thanks, I appreciate it. I've been concentrating on road racing a lot more this season so my mountain bikes have been neglected. I haven't even ridden this bike in over a year now. It has less than 1,000 miles on it. What a waste! :(

Large? If I let it out in the rain will it shrink a little? :o
Dunno, you're welcome to buy it and experiment though. ;)

Tempting. Not sure I'm in the market just yet. Out of curiosity, what's your inseam, LowCel? How's the road racing season going?
My inseam, with no shoes on is 32.5". That is actual, not pants size.

credit card bill for the Zipps come in? ;)
They didn't make it on this months bill. Looks like I have been granted one more month of life. :D

Good answer. The Turner Flux will be a better bike anyway.

Really, I wasn't aware that Turner went back to ICT. ;)
Shoot, I just realized this frame is actually an 18" frame. I'm pretty sure in 2005 that was considered large but by their current measurements it is considered a medium. What sucks is the action ends in two hours and I can't cancel it. :(

I think Junkyard was better suited for a medium anyway. I have a 32.5" inseam and ride mediums typically.
Junkyard - do you really want to buy a bike from someone who misrepresents key information like the size? The Turner Flux I have is a Medium. Always has been and always will be. I'll even put an ICT sticker on it for you. It will increase pedalling efficiency by 0.25%.
It sucks, I cancelled the bid on ebay and was trying to cancel the auction. Ebay won't allow an auction to be cancelled in the last 12 hours. That sucks, you would think they would rather you cancel an auction with incorrect information than to just let it go.
I'll be e-mailing the winning bidder immediately to see if he wants to purchase the frame or cancel. Then I have to hope for no negative feedback. I made it to 246 with no negatives. Hate to get one now but can't really do much about it. :(

Just explain the situation and explain that if he wants it he can still have it but it is a medium and not a large. Something siilar happened to me once. I ebayed a pair of pedals. Someone noticed from the pics they were two right pedals. I don't remember if I cancelled the auction or simply efunded the winner and explained the situation.
I don't think you should worry. Like you wrote, immediately email the winner and refund payment if he happens to send it to you right away.
Well the same guy won that I had already cancelled his bid. Hopefully he knew that it was the wrong size since I stated that as the reason I cancelled his bid. Maybe it will turn out alright....
Sold.....as long as he is happy with it once he receives it. The buyer is kind of between sizes so once he receives it he will build it up and make sure it fits him.

Oh I can't handle your Ellsworth disloyalty. *wipe tear from cheek* Where's LowCel? Where did you hide him???
Sorry, no brand loyalty when it comes to getting my credit card paid off. Especially when I have had this bike just setting around for a year not being ridden. I got tired of seeing it setting in a pile of parts in the corner of my bike room. :(
