Great Lakes - Dairyland Dare Roll call

My suggestion for those of you driving up Friday night is to hit Madison. A fair number of the brewers will be in town having pre-parties. For instance, Larry Bell and company will be tapping 18 different releases at Maduro's. Dark Horse will be at Wonder's Pub and Founders will be Glass Nickel. A few beers should be a nice boost for a 200K sufferfest :p

But got to drive out to Mineral Point for the evening. At such parties, I'd prefer to have a driver, should I get too enthusiastic about the brews.

I had a few the night before the HHH in June at the Grumpy Troll. I'm not saying that's why I didn't finish the whole 200k course, but I'm not saying it wasn't the reason, either.... :o

Sounds like a plan. Also we should get a roll call for saturday start. So we do not leave anyone behind.

Not to be a jerk, but I'm going to be taking off as early as possible. The 200k route is long enough that I may take off at 6:30 or even earlier. I'm not worried about the whole chip timing thing so much.

Supper sounds good at the place that dosen't take reservations. CyLowe97 what time do you think you can make it to the Hotel on Friday? Will there be any chance of a ride on Friday? Dave342

I'm planning on being to the packet pickup in Dodgeville around the time that starts at 5 pm or so. I think we could all meet there and then disperse to check into hotels. Then figure out a time to meet at the restaurant in Mineral Point. At this point, it's all kind of play it by ear.

I've got your number, as well as Kenal0's, so I will call if anything unusual happens to my plans.

As far as dinner, I think that is up in the air. I have thrown out this place which is not too far from Dodgeville and closer to where Cylowe and Dave are staying. They do not take reservations.

I have eaten there several times and can recommend it. They brew there own beer which is quite good. The owners are very nice.

If I go I'll do the 100k, because I havent ridden 127 miles before. But 200k sounds like more fun.

If you haven't put that kind of mileage in before I would recommend doing it first on a less hilly route. I know you're a bad***** and all ;), but join me on the 100K. The crash this week messed me up so I'm sticking to the 100K instead of the 200K.

Just got home and rode around the block. Shoulder is OK off of the bike, but on the bike it stresses all of the parts that hurt....makes sense because it happened on the bike.

I can't handle 64 miles of this pain. Sorry guys, but I am again out....:(

I think I'm gonna do the 100k, with the option of doing 200k if I feel good. Its a 2 1/2 hour drive, so It looks like Im waking up early.

What time is everybody starting?

Not sure about the starting time 6:30? No later. I will check with others at the packet pickup to see what time and post back here shortly after. If you want to hook up with us, I am on a Bike Friday(20" wheel bike-black) and will be wearing a 7-11 Jersey. I am in for 100K.

I dont look forward to getting up at like 3:30, but I want to be there early so I can do the 200k without worrying about rest stops being closed, or riding the whole thing alone

I can confirm the 6:30 roll out. We will be convening out in front at 6:15. As stated earler- 7-11 jersey with the small wheeled bike. Hope to see you all there.

my parents are trying to talk me out of going now. To get there at 6 I would have to leave at 3:30, and its pretty expensive with regestration and gas, so I may or may not be there.
