Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Whereto buy bikes?

I've been looking through the threads about the budget bikes. Basically I want a bike for under $500 or around that price, but I am having trouble finding where to order these bikes from. Originally I was settled on the Kilo TT, but bikesdirect doesn't have my size anymore. Bianchi Pista is tempting as well. I tried to get the other budget bike, Windsor the Hour, but they refuse to accept Canadian credit card or paypal. I live in Vancouver, but I can get stuff shipped just across the border and then drive to pick it up.

you can't even process an order at bikesdirect without an American paypal account or an American credit card. Anybody know who would sell the bianchi pista?

Is internet shopping so ubiquitous that people don't know that you can buy bikes at bike shops anymore?

99% of all bike shops carry garbage or nothing when it comes to fixies.

But for what he's talking about, he should have no problem getting it at a LBS.

What person lives in a town that can't get bianchi, redline, specialized, etc....

It's not like he's looking for an NJS track frame and can't find it at his LBS.
