Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - How to post a picture.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

See manage attachments or if you have a source where you can host pics, use the IMG tags for example
For this:http://img196.exs.cx/img196/1492/hpim10104mz.gif
You http://img196.exs.cx/img196/1492/hpim10104mz.gif
Minus the the spaces between ] and h and the space between f and [.
Attaching an image is quite simple. Hit the reply button(The one that is in red) to get the proper reply screen, then scroll down, you will see a section that says manage attachments.

Dam.....It worked!!! :D
Can I also add:
If you find a picture on the internet, right click on the picture and a menu will come up. Press on the properties button then there will be a adress (url) for the picture. Copy the address and go back to the forums, hit relpy and in the reply screen there is a mountain button, press the mountain button, and paste in the pics url and voila you have a posted picture!
P.S. we should make this a sticky. Oh and this is for windows users...
im trying this for my self.... never attached a file.

testing - don't remember how to do this...C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Pictures\Richard's Bikes\Specilized Roubaix
Dude, you need a URL link, cant use the document link.
try photobucket.com
Its free, you have to sign up and give a user name, buts its free and works really well.
If the picture is <100kb you can use "Manage Attachments" below the "Submit Reply" button.

Ok, let's see if I can do Thumbnails?.........Success!
In the site FAQ under "What Are Attachments?" it says "To attach a file to a new post, simply click the [Browse] button at the bottom of the post composition page, and locate the file that you want to attach from your local hard drive."
However, I can't see any [Browse] button when I look at the new post or edit post pages. What is going on?
Alternately, can anyone suggest a free website where I could drop my images so I can use the lame "Insert Image" function that simply inserts an IMG tag in my posting. http://

A good free website where you can put some pictures is Photobucket.com
When I signed up though I had to do it somewhere between midnight and 3 a.m. I guess so many people want to sign up that this is about the only way you can get in. This was quite awhile ago though so go to their website and check it out.
Are you going to "Manage Attachments"? You can't post pictures from the "Post Quick Reply" or whatever that was, you have to go to the "Advanced" Post, then you will see the Browse button. :D
