I'm hoping to find a 26" wheel folding bike to replace my Montague CX. I've decided I want something significantly lighter. The brand I'm most seriously considering is Slingshot. The problem is I can't find reviews of their newer bikes (the reviews I find are typically at least 4 years old). The frames (according to their website) weigh about 5 to 6 lbs. I'm not too experienced with bikes yet, but I imagine if I went for the lightest parts, the end result would be lighter than the 30 lb. Montague. I am a little concerned about the fiberglass part in the middle breaking. Does anyone have any information?

I've never seen or heard of the hinge breaking (although it must have happened somewhere).
