Alas, some of them are cool. And I am good with animals. I wish theyh would have let me keep the last bat. I would have named him Rockstar.

No, I make sure the frat cats are fed the finest food for their age/activity profile. Honestly I am way nicer to animals than I am to human beings.

Sort of- they are carriers, not the cause of rabies. Rabies is caused by a virus (http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvrd/rabies/the_virus/virus.htm), and the virus is transmitted through the saliva or other body fluids of animals infected with the virus. Infected animals are vectors, not causes, of the virus, which in turn causes the disease.

There's a huge difference between the fact that most human cases of rabies resulted from bat bites and the belief that all bats carry rabies (I know you didn't say that- but a lot of people mistakenly believe that). Actually, in some parts of the country, raccoons and skunks are more common carriers. we have some trapped somewhere in the house inside the walls, once in a while they come out and Im scared to death.:o

^^^ they're definitely scary when they fly around you but in reality, their navigation system is better than a 767's. They generally try to avoid you, more out of self-preservation than anything else. However, when they're trapped (like in a room), they do get sort of panicky!

Why not kill all the frat boys and let the bats have a rockin' partay house!!!!!

Up on Mackinac Island, one of the shops has bats in it. They are pretty cool, and just zip around the shop all day. It was pretty funny watching the customer reactions though to them.:D
