Greg,
I know it might be too late now, but have you ever thought about doing the Livestrong Challenge to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation which as you know does lots of work with cancer patients and their families. There are three this year. None in Florida. Philadelphia, Portland and the last one of the year is October in Austin Texas. (Lance's hometown) My friend and I (both from Florida) are doing the Austin ride in October. It might be too late for you this year, but give it a look see. www.livestrongchallenge.org (http://www.livestrongchallenge.org) They have multiple rides. We are currently doing allot of training for the ride in the hills of Clermont Florida (Outside Orlando) Any way check it out

Hello Greg,
I came to Bike Forums to post our breast cancer ride for charity coming up on Oct 14th and I came across your post.
Space Coast Velo Sport Cycling Club will host our first annual Ride 4aBreast 'Cancer Awareness' charity ride. You can find the details and register via www.spacecoastvelosport.com or www.active.com.
I hope Melbourne, FL isn't too far a drive for you.
