I've seen videos shot from cameras mounted under their frame. Such as:

oh God, I would never mount my actual video camera to my bike... I was thinking more along the lines of a kit that has a cheap camera with a bracket to mount it to bikes, any know of anything like that?

All of the rear facing shots are from the helmet, with the exception of an old Skyline video and this little gem (http://www.petefagerlin.com/video/suburban_assault.mpg):

I stand corrected, although you must look funny with your helmet on backwards.

I think I've said it before - I like the soundtrack/jersey tie-in in Suburban Assault.
