I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these:

WEIRD! What the hell... a machine for astral projection? Never heard of it. I wouldn't want to mess with something like that. I did a lot of research on astral projection for a paper I was doing in college (collage?), and it's... well... freaky.

I know the seller and she actually has quite a serious addiction to collage. so very sad to see a young mind give way to addiction...

You might wanna pick up a warp core too.

It won't work properly for time travel without an ancillary photonic symbio-temporal amplifier.

That one doesn't even have a 'Triple zenight-core bypass regulator'. I wouldn't touch it.

I have this vision of Marvin the Martian running around exclaiming in his pseudo-twit accent: "My Q-13v Mod-yoo-lay-tore! What happened to my Q-13v mod-yoo-lay-tore?"

Rookies!!!!!I still put my time travel money on the tried and true methods.

Pfffww! It won't work properly for anything without an interocitor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interocitor) to hook it up to.

What a scam! Imagine trying to use a computer without a monitor, keyboard, or mouse and you know what you're asking for when you buy a hyper-dimensional resonator without an interocitor. Unless you've programmed using punchcards before, you don't want it. And of course interocitors are only available as part of the kit.

The jerk probably parted out the interocitor to some moron who broke theirs and now they're trying to get rid of the rest of it "pay for collage."

Ummm...yeah right. Pretty much everyone knows you can't make a flux capacitor work on 27 volts. It's a fundamental physical limitation of the basic design that it requires exactly 1.21 jiggawatts. Of course, there's tachyon pulse capacitors that are just as effective and could probably work on 27 volts, but you have to be going about warp 9.8 to get enough gravimetric manifold distortion for time travel, which is a lot harder to get to than 88.5 mph, and it makes your dilithium crystals spall off neutrons like mad. This is clearly neither a flux nor a tachyon pulse capacitor.

It's pretty sad when you consider that the only reason these ebay scammers exist is because people keep falling for it...

yeah, but once I perfect time travel, I am going back to right before every auction I bidded in ends and erasing my bid. You call it a scam, I call it investing in my back to the future future.

Not to hijack the thread, but on a distantly related note, if the Star Trek guys were so technologically advanced, then why was their warp drive always crashing and why did they have so many problems with their sheilds?

Because the control systems were programmed by Microsoft?

Self induced OBE's are freaky enough, I would want to enhance it.

I've always wondered about OOBE... is it like what some people say, similar to shifting the camera in a MMO from first person view to third person?

Whatever you do, do not travel through a port with a fly next to you....I've heard it could be bad, real bad.

In a remote sense. Once you move away from yourself it's more of a sense or perception of your environs than sight. YMMV
