My father has an old Fiorelli ten-speed that he bought in the 70's when he was a kid. It's been sitting in the basement in pretty sorry shape for the last ten tears, so I thought I would fix it up for him as a summer project. Well, that summer project is now my fall project. So it goes.
I would like to have the frame repainted, but I don't really know who to go to. It has nice intricate chromed lugs, and chromed stays and dropouts, all of which I'd like to keep. I'd also like to have the decals reproduced, if possible. I'd have an auto shop or somehing repaint it if I didn't care about the detail, but I do, so I won't. Has anyone had experience with a company that does this kind of work? I've already looked into CyclArt, but I'm wondering what my other options are.
Also, any recomendations on componentry? It came with Simplex parts (read: cheap), and I'd like to build it up with something a little classier, like Campagnolo. How easy/difficult are old Campy parts to find? Where would I look?
I'll probably have more questions as the project moves along, but this seemed like a good place to start.
