Just bought a bike yesterday at a charity auction. I've been meaning to get one for a while now and this just seemed like the right time to do it!
I'm not real sure about the bike. It's a Schwinn Traveller. It's blue with a little bit of silver at the end of the fork. I'm not sure if the handle bars are original (I think they are called mustache shaped?). It has a label on the tube just below the seat that says made in Japan for Schwinn in Chicago or something like that. All the parts I can read the markings on seem to say Schwinn. I think the rear gear changer says Le Tour GT420" or something close to that. I've read where some Schwinn bike's have markings that help tell what year they are but, I didn't find any like described.
It has 27 x 1 1/4" tires and seems quite tall! I am 6' 3" and I have to lean and stand on my toes to get on the seat while standing still.
Hope to be riding and finding out about my new bike soon!
cheers!
