So after months of looking for the perfect bike I finally found it.

It's a Trek Fuel Ex 9.5, it cost me around 5000 dollars at Walmart.

I just bought a pair of bar caps because I lost one on the trail a week or so ago on my FS. I took a bar cap off of my hardtail so I needed to replace the missing cap. The $2.75 pair were too big so I had to buy the $4.50 pair instead.

you got a Trek Fuel Ex 9.5 as your FIRST mountain bike? Lucky... I guess you just skipped the hardtail stage that everyone goes through huh?

sorry ... your bike is automatically crap if it has ever seen the inside of a walmart. You can't sell it either it has been flagged as being in a wal-mart.

Sounds good. Is it spicy? I like spicy soups.

I haven't had a nice bouillabaisse in a long time.

Not spicy, but it is particularly delicious if you add some cracked pepper to it.

Sounds good. In the winter time my wife and I make a carrot/ginger soup that is very good. The ginger adds a nice spicy twist to it that isn't as intense as hot peppers but is delicious none the less. Very good on a cold winter's day.

You may need to send a container of that my way this winter.

Why? When I was looking for bikes online, Walmart had the best deal.

Can food be sent across the border? If not I can give you the recipe as it's one we poached off of a cooking show. It does take a lot of work to do as there is a lot of chopping and dicing. Although the soup is called "carrot/ginger", there's also leeks, celery and yam.

I saw some good looking women working at Trader Joe's. Why don't you hit your local one and ask the girl working the produce section to help you find one for you.

This carrot/ginger soup will score big points with your vegetarian friend. Get chopping! I recommend you go with the vegetable stock base to make sure you get it 100% vegetarian.

Cream of Carrot Soup with Fresh Ginger
Ingredients:
* 7 cup chicken stock or 7 cup vegetable stock
* 4 tbsp butter
* 2 lb. fresh carrot, peeled
* 3 leek, sliced, in half lengthwise, and, thoroughly, cleaned
* 1 yam, peeled
* 4 celery, stalks
* 1 three-inch piece fresh ginger, root, peeled, and, grated
* 1 tsp salt
* 1 tsp black pepper
* 1 tsp ground nutmeg
* 1/2 pt cream, heavy, (optional)

Directions:
1. In a large pot, bring stock to a boil.
2. While stock is heating, chop all vegetables into small pieces (approximately 1/2 inch cubes).
3. In a saute pan, over med-high heat, melt half of the butter. Sauté vegetables with ginger and nutmeg for approximately 15 minutes, or until vegetables are browned. Add remaining butter as needed.
4. Add sautéed vegetables to stock, reduce heat, cover with a lid, and simmer for 30 minutes.
5. Let cool to room temperature and then puree in a blender. Soup should be thick and smooth. If you like your soup velvety smooth, pour through a fine mesh strainer
6. Add salt and pepper.
7. To serve, re-heat, ladle into bowls, then drizzle 1 tablespoon of cream into each bowl. Serve in warmed bowls.

i love walmart. sometimes i go to walmart, fill a cart up with everything i want to buy, and then i just leave it. it's kind of like going to a go-ride, building a custom bike, and then not ordering it.

It's more fun to fill up a handbasket with items that will have people guessing. Like condoms, breath mints and a ball of twine.

Or some vaseline, a whole pepperoni and marshmallow cream.

Or a Summer's Eve, some tabasco and a few random air compressor fittings.
