I want to get into mountain bike riding and lately I've been riding a crappy old mongoose with an rst fork and joke rear suspension. The bike used to be my brothers 5+ years ago and I simply need a new, better bike.

I have been looking at 2 bikes in particular. The Hardrock Sport Disc and the Rockhopper Disc. and just want to know your opinions on the two bikes.

both are good bikes .. get the hard rock if you plan on jumping stuff, get the rockhopper if you want to go fast.

The only reason I wouldn't want to get the Hardrock is because of the RST fork. I've read that the Dart3 forks are much better.

I do have a small mountain biking course around my area with jumps nothing higher then 3 feet, do you think the Rockhopper would be able to handle that?
