When I can fall asleep outdoors, surrendering myself completely, with inner peace in my heart, trust in my soul, amongst a canopy of trees, feeling secure, in complete serenity, with no concept of time, knowing and appreciating how wonderful my life really is. :love:

Laying in my boat with the sun on my face. Sometimes the wind and waves pick up but the rocking just makes it more relaxing. Time just stops along with all my worries and problems.

Go for it.. but then you put yourself in the tough spot of having to choose the order; sex - then ice cream? in which case the ice cream may melt. Or, the other around, in which case you might spoil the mood. Choices.. :P

Oh, and what makes me happy (aside from riding my bikes) is riding a horse through fields that don't have a trail, with the noise of the city far away and my troubles temporarily forgotten. Not much else brings me so much serenity.

As for me, I have a couple things. Fencing is one. There's nothing that calms my mind like fencing...if you think of anything other than that sword in front of you, you get hit. Kinda forces serenity on ya...

Massaging is another. I can shut off my brain and let my hands, energy, and intuition do everything that needs to be done.

Fire eating, of course. One slip and I could die. Forces you to clear your head.

Singing is quite sublime for me, too. I can't even begin to describe how music affects me.

Photography, too.

Cycling.

Erm, I'll stop there. This post is getting too long.

Good beer, chocolate, sex, riding my bike, hiking, and wiggling my toes in the grass. I've always felt that toe wiggling has been underestimated by most people. Spending the day in PJs feels nice sometimes, too.

Cresting the Continental Divide and knowing there is a long, steep, gently curving, and smooth road ahead of me with plenty of run-out at the bottom. As in going over Loveland Pass in Colorado from the east and knowing the old I-70 road is before you. I still remember the exultation I felt as my loaded tourer accelerated past 40 MPH and I still had over 10 miles to go.
