Hello,
I was wondering if road brake calipers are interchangable(like fron and back).

I was looking at the shamino 105 and on nash bars site it said front brake caliper but they seem to look the same so i brought my question to the experts, you guys.

So could i just order to front calipers and slap one on the bike of the frame? thanks a bunch

P.S. im building a single speed thats why i need to brakes...

no, not interchangeable.

the mounting stud is much longer in the front, so it can pass through the entire fork crown. in the rear, it need only pass through the brake bridge.

if your frame has the clearance you could mount the longer bolted front caliper in the back with some washers. It would look goofy, but if you have your reasons its doable. Oh, cable routing could get wonky too, depends.

Why not just get a matched set of front and back?
