Im looking at trying lace my own wheels. i have some old ones i plan on practiceing with but i have been looking at diffrent fixed gear hubs and didnt know what the big diffrence between low flange and highflange. any info whould very helpful

The big difference is, you need different length spokes!

Actually, the classic answer was, high-flange hubs made stiffer wheels because spokes were shorter. low-flange hubs were more resilient and rode better.

You need some genuine wheel-building help. I've read a good book on the subject but burned it on an altar and took my mangled wheels to the shop
