Triathlon - Building up a tri bike... which one???

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm gonna take the plunge and build up a dedicated tri bike. I've narrowed down my frame choices to two: Either a Cervelo P2C (White/Red) or a Quintana Roo Lucero (Naked Carbon). Both are just under 2k, frame, fork, post. Opinions?

There ought to be heaps of reviews of both in the Tri and cycling mags. Try Slowtwitch.
Then ignore what they all say and pick the one that fits you best.

My opnion, dang your gong to have a sweet bike.
I was just in a shop yesterday that told me that a Ultegra P2C could be had in 08 for ~$2.5k, don't know if that has any effect or not, just what I heard.

P2C looks cooler, and Cervelo is more popular at Kona

I really like the cervelos, for their stiffness, aero frames, and they just look better. I dont really know alot about KR, so I cant really comment there. Like was said though, check the usual places for more info, like slowtwitch.

I think the balckwell wheels will go faster than those box rims, so take the QRoo:D
I think that they are both going to be good bikes. I built and currently ride a QRoo as a road bike and I like it. However, it's not carbon. That's what the Zipp is for ;). QRoo has been around for many years. I would say try to find out which one is going to fit you better. I know that's not always possible though. Good luck!
