I think we need to open up a bartertown post where we can exchange Clipless Pedals, Brooks Saddles, Bib shorts and mirrors untill everyone is happy with what they have.

There will be a coffee pot and stuffed chairs in the back corner where the arguments (sorry, discussions) can go on 24/7 about what frame or style of riding is best.

Near the front door will be a rack of soft grey shoes so members can maintain a different identity from the other posts that have these same discussions (sorry, arguments).

There must be free pie for all.

You're describing the first bike shop I worked in. Riders of all abilities and interests would come into the shop, spend hours just sitting around "shooting the bull". The shop manger/head mechanic/owner was more than happy to have people bring in stuff to swap. He also did an interesting thing related to "trade ins". First, he would take them. Second, he would sometimes hook up a person wishing to trade in a bike with someone looking for that type of bike, if he couldn't give them what it was worth. There was also always a pot of coffee on, and usually some baked goods that someone would bring it. Everyone eventually got a nickname... if they came in often enough.
