A note from the City of Bloomington, MN. Hope to see many of you at the meeting.

Bloomington is currently undertaking an Alternative Transportation Plan with the goal of developing a comprehensive system for inter- and intra-city travel. Alternative transportation includes but is not limited to: walking, bicycling, personal transportation assistance devices and rollerblading -- and their connections with transit (LRT and bus).
We'd like to gather the input of anyone who lives/bikes/walks/or uses transit in Bloomington. Our first public Open House is next Thursday, August 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Bloomington Civic Plaza, 1800 W. Old Shakopee Road. Public input will also be solicited via a citizen task force, focus groups, e-mail and written comments, and a survey, available August 10 - 31 on the City Web page at www.ci.bloomington.mn.us keywords: Alternative Transportation. A community open house will be scheduled later this fall to allow for public review of the draft Alternative Transportation Plan.
