Thinking about heading out to do the 25th Anniversary edition of El Tour de Tuscon in November. Will be a return trip, as I rode it 15 yrs. ago, (and I believe that was the coldest temperature at the start). Planning to ship out my bike ahead, fly out several days in advance, rent a car, do a bit of riding before the event, and have it sent back after. Any suggestions as to a GOOD & TRUSTWORTHY shop in town who could receive it, make sure everything is OK prior to arrival, etc., and not rip my face off? Any suggestions and / or feedback appreciated.

It's kinda hard to be the best when you're two months old...

I did have a good experience in there though.

In my experience, the folks at Ordinary Bike Shopright off of 4th Ave have the nicest and most helpful staff in Tucson. You could call 'em at (520) 622-6488.

Coldest El Tour?
El Tour #2, starting at Sabino Canyon, was by far the coldest start in the 23 El Tours I've ridden.
