Ok I have decided that instead of getting a new bike I may be better off upgrading the 6500zx slowly. I have been looking at forks since they seem to be cheap right now with the 2004 models coming out. I have narrowed it down to the Manitou Black sport, Marz MX comp w/eta and the Duke XC U-turn or Duke Race. So let me know what you think and your opinion of these forks.

THanks
Matt

I just got the Marz MX Pro ETA, and its working great for me. Rebound control knob fell off, but the Comp dosnt have a rebound control knob, so you should be set. I cant really compare to anything though, my MX Pro is replacing a old RS Jett, so anything would be better than that. But all in all, im impressed with the fork, I can actually ride over stuff I used to just get catapolted off of.

THe MARZ would be a good choice, i just got a Z1 FR, sorry i say that alot and i haven't even gotten it in the mail yet (today my precious should be here). If you could I'd suggest getting the pro or even the z1 (you can get them pretty cheap used/blow out special). I think the MX COMP new is like what ~260 then shipping? You could definately get a PRO for the same slightly used or on ebay or something, I dunno, DEFINATELY price shop as i'm sureyou know.

I'm planning on buying a new bike in the spring, but i wanna use this fork now, I have an older specialized stumpie m2, do you think when i cut the tube it's gunna be too short for my future bike? Sorry if i kinda hijacked this thread.

find out the head tube lengths on a few of the future bikes you might want, and cut it to the length of the longest one. Then stick it on your stupjumpa.
