BMX - can i use this bike for flatland?

Hi, i just bought a dk 6-pack and was wondering if i can use it for both flatland and street please help me out.

Why not? If you wanted to do all the tricks the pro flatlanders do, you might want a more specific flatland bike, but for fun, it'll be fine.

Yea, that should be good. The brakes would need adjusting and you might want to try a 4pc bar, just do what feels right.

allright cool, the forks dont have a brake mount so i think later down the line i might get some forks with a front bracket to get front brakes on there. I am also going to get the animal tires with no tread on the. Also, do you think i might have trouble on that bike because im about 5'3 and i weight about 130 so the bike might be a tad big. I dont think im goign to be growing much more because im 17, but thank you for helping me out guys I look foward to getting better at flatland and kind of mix flatland and street togather. Thanks

Say you're doing a 180 at high speed landing backwards and get ejected off your bike at high speed because you can't pedal backwards fast enough. With a freecoaster hub you don't have to pedal backwards when rolling backwards, its as simple as that.

im selling a dk signal, brand new and barely used. not a scratch on it exept for the pegs. $200.

pardon my stupidity but what are 4 pc bars? all i know are 2 pc...

First of all, 4 piece bars are not exactly what you want. Most flatland bars are more than 4 piece, but basically you are just looking for bars that are nearly identical when flipped the other way, so they should have low to no sweep. But since you are not only doing flatland, it would probably be best to keep the bars you have and just fool around with some flatland.

I started flatlanding on a bike setup for dirt jumping... you'll be fine. Unless you're already pulling whiplashes, hitchhikers, megaspins, etc, a flat specific bike won't help all that much.

What will really help are brakes and pegs.

Brakes (front and back) are very important for flatlanders. Can't live without them really.

Yes, you can. There are a bunch of brakeless flatlanders. I don't really the point in it, but there are quite a few.

Flatland is GAY. I hate watching flatland. I always skip through that part in the odyssey vid.

Flatland is cool to watch for a few seconds, and then I get bored of it.
