Northern California - The Norcal Jersey Celebration ride - 8/25

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

OK, so Saturday at 8:30 at the Athenian School. But is that in the parking lot, or the road or what? As in where at the Athenian School.
I'll be in a California jersey (my NorCal jersey is in order 2 and not here yet...)
Who/what/how should I be looking for?
I'll try to be there early, and I'll have the Norcal jersey on me...

jinws, I'm leaving from Campbell if you're nearby there.. I think I could fit two bikes in my suv if you're in need of a ride.
Let me know...
Oh, and I've only been riding consistently for about a month and a half. I'm NOT sandbagging when I say that I may have to turn around at some point and that I'll be very pleased with myself if I make it to the top. I'm going to give it my best shot though - it'll be good motivation to ride with some other bikers that look like they're about to keel over at any moment!

All this talk not making it has my thinking I'm riding with the right group.... Unless you're all sand baggers.
Me sandbag? No. Windbag, yes, but sandbag, no.

I just did a 20 mile spin this morning. Started at 9 and the weather was quite pleasant. When I left for work at noon, it still wasn't too hot. So, if tomorrow's like today, it'll be decent climbing weather.
If we start by 9 even the slowest should be up the hill or otherwise done by 11, so we should miss the heat of the day.
Of course, it could always cloud up with a cold marine layer and then get real windy...... :)
