Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Anyone ride the QBP Suzue/MA3 wheel?

I just bought on this past weekend to replace my MA3/Sovos that was beat to hell. So far, I have just had to adjust the cones a tad. Aside from that, no complaints. May need a little truing after shipping

I built an identical set (front & rear) a few months back, but w/32 holes & 15 guage spokes. Aside from the initial grittyness of the hub bearings, it's been a great wheelset so far. I'm using an EAI cog with a DuraAce lockring on it. I paid $49 for the basic hubset, $60 for 2 MA3 rims, $10 for the lockring, and $24 for the cog, & something like $20 for the spokes at a LBS.

Yup, I ride them too. I've had both hubs lock up and bent both axles once but that was after going over four HUGE potholes (the potholes from hell, 4 feet wide by 3 feet long by 2 inches deep, no avoiding that!) so I wouldn't worry, just lock them up tight and they'll be fine. Other than that little bit of wear and tear (which the fault of road construction) they work perfectly!

I run one on my commuter. Not the best quality but a good, solid dependable wheel at an excellent price.

I purchased one over a year ago as an inexpensive way of testing the fixed gear waters. It has served me well without a hiccup on my 22 mi round trip commute on rough, trashy urban streets. After well over a year of use I decided that this fixed gear thing looks like something I will stick with so a few weeks ago I treated myself to a new wheel built on a Phil Woods hub and black MA3 hub with black DT spokes. I can't say I can tell any significant difference in ride, but I do love the look of the new wheel. The old wheel still has plenty of useful life and has a place of honor on my "neutral service" car, well, actually a hook in my garage.

The QBP wheel served me well and will probably be put to full time use at some point on another bike.
