Does anyone know whether bicycles are permitted on New York's Taconic State Parkway?

No bicycles allowed and even if they were there is no way to safely ride it.

The Taconic is a big roller coaster It makes US 6 through PA look like a railtrail, You wouldn't want to ride it if you could.
NYS bike route 9 is good( The route is NYS DOT website) ,
I prefer NY route 22 north of Pawling . which is closer to the eastern border of NY. Metro north will take you there if you want to skip the Westchester traffic.

Thanks. I had a suspicion about the hills on the Taconic but wasn't sure. 22 looks good. Riding up from New Jersey to Maine.
