Foo - oops.. I sent my gf an (unwarrented) ''psycho'' e-mail.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I sent it this morning.. I just talked to her today and found out she has flu, and is really sick -- that's why she never called. How do I undo the e-mail? Ideas?

subject: Your fish bowl (and it's contents)

Yo man..?

You never stopped by monday to pick up your fish bowl.. nor did you call. Ditto for tuesday (nor did you mention anything about it in the email you sent). I felt that to call you in regards to this would have been a really 'needy' (or something) thing to do, especially since our 'misunderstanding' or whatever on Saturday.. so instead of calling I had to put one of your frogs in the blender (since it was too small for frog legs). The pet shop owner gave me two african clawed frogs; one albino and one regular, we drew straws -and the ****** one had to go. I gave him (it was a male) until 4pm yesterday for you to call or email or something.. but the call never came, the blender was set on a timer. . it never had a chance. There is still one more, it has 24 hrs to live. I figure you didn't call or anything, either becz you have been too busy or perhaps just plain fed up with our situation from saturday.. but whatever is the case, the frog deserves life. It did not travel all the way from an african pond to end up in a blender like it's compatriot.

You have 24 hrs (until 0700 EST).

On another note, I made some killer tomato w/beef sauce! I merinated the beef in fresh finely minced spices (using my new blender, -which I love!). If you stop by I'll save you a plate.. -(sans the rice, since all I have is 'wild' rice and it's like twice as hard to make as the white stuff). And btw, no I did not use 'killer tomatoes' in the sauce itself - rather it is a 'killer' sauce (my famous one dish), -and it taste good too!

Hope your interview went well. :)

My one saving grace is that it's a 'funny' (haha) e-mail.. however I have an unfortunate history of sending nasty (''psycho'' e-mails as she calls them).. that really aren't that different from this one.. She doesn't yet know about this particular e-mail I sent, however.

I think you're out of luck with getting it back. Maybe she'll just be amused at your neediness.

But OTOH, kinda like I said to Snowy, even though she "had the flu" -- if someone's not calling you and letting you know what's up, just what kind of relationship is it anyway? If I had a boyfriend I really cared about, I'd let him know I was sick. But if I were just kind of dating someone as a person to kill time with until someone else came along, it's possible that I wouldn't make a point of calling him, if I were sick.

For what it's worth.

yeah.. she said she had 104 degree fever, (and her son got sick too), she was still sick when we just talked over the phone, and she said she had forgotten anything about having said she'd come on monday to carry back the fish bowl.

you can recall emails through outlook, but i think it only works on similar email servers, and even then it almost never totally works.

i think you're screwed on this. i'm also not aware that having the cold or flu disables someone's phone.

You have 3 choices...

1) Go over there, bring chicken soup and anything else she likes when sick.

2) Send flowers, find out when they are going to arrive and call shortly afterwards. Grovel a little.

3) Ignore it and hope it goes away.

I've been married for 25 years. That's a hint.

yo man? this is how you start an email to your girlfriend? is "man" man or woman or he/she or she/he?

putting a pet in a blender is boarderline FATAL ATTRACTION. I usually use this reference to gauge a woman once I first start dating her. If she has seen the movie this is usually the first thing they comment on (1) they either think the stuff is funny, i.e. drop the girl fast, (2) they think she (in the movie) was psycho, hold onto for further evaluation, or (3) they haven't seen the movie, keeper because they aren't crazy nor will have they psycho tendencies.

We have this weird friend/'more than friends' thing going.. She still insists that I answer the phone by saying; ''hello'' .. rather than ''hey, wat up?''. So, even though we are 'friends' it can be complicated sometimes.. I guess i kind of screwed myself on that one..

No, Mr. S.. though that's not a bad idea. I have already sent here another mail to undo/patch up the first one;

subject: The frog lives..

Hi,

I missed your call.. I was trying to get my pant leg out from my front derailer (and was in the middle of a busy intersection :P ) when the phone rang. I called you back, but I guess you guys were already nappin by then.. Of course, the remaining frog has gotten a reprieve, and the blended up one was carefully seeved out from my tomato/beef sauce and tediously pasted back together.. no, it will never be the same again -but it was kind of a weird frog to begin with, so you'll probably never be able to notice the difference.
Okay, I hope you and your son had a nice day.. Am looking forward to talking/ or hearing back from you later. :)

Hopefully, that will get my *** out of the hot soup. :)

haha, funny you should mention that.. in another non-psycho e-mail I sent her I joked about this very thing..

here it is, (the part that is okay to post):

subject: re:

Hope you are well, and that I am not in any trouble for any reason. After three consecutive trouble free weeks without any incident to speak of - I will stop sacrificing a kitten on fridays to appease the god's, and I will begin to relax a little. After one full month of smooth sailing I will find the remaining kittens good homes - (or I will have them put down in a humane way).. Yeah, it was either ''kittens'' or ''chickens'' .. those voodoo man, they mumble a lot.

Sure, we all indulge in those moments.. But I had just spent some serious time/money and creative energies setting up a fish bowl for her, because she had shown so much interest in the fish bowl that I had made for myself. Also, she kind of flaked on me a few days before when I had a really tough day and needed someone to atleast 'show' their support.. When all of these things were combined, -then yeah.. This reminds me , I had a really awesome homemade hot roast beef pie. Made by my neibors 88 year old grandmother from Hungary. It was amazing. And the stories she told us about the "old country" were so interesting. After she does a bit of traveling in the US she is going to move in. I can`t wait to spend more time with her.

That pie was awesome. I`d be 300# if she lived with us.
